The client / the project

BI modelling involves designing, building and maintaining data models using physical and logical modelling to translate complex business data into usable computer systems. Data modeling structures the data stored in databases for efficient processing, manages the flow of data from databases through the database management system, and structures the space needed for the smooth flow of data. Responsible for collaborating with the business to understand the business process and decide/recommend the data models that best fit the business case.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and translate business needs into robust data models using a mix of conceptual, physical and logical data modelling
• Design and implement scalable, customized solutions using industry-leading data modeling tools in relational, dimensional and NoSQL databases
• Collaborate and liaise with colleagues in other teams to understand best practices followed and leverage lessons learned from others to present holistic analytics recommendations to stakeholders
• Troubleshoot and solve problems with physical and logical data models
• Apply and develop recommended DevOps processes and procedures to streamline version control and deployment
• Modularize and demonstrate the ability to reduce data redundancy, simplify data movement and improve enterprise information management
• Learn and apply industry best practices in implementing cutting-edge analytics solutions to manage data efficiently and effectively
