The client / the project

As a Cloud Operations Delivery Manager at our client, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful implementation of cloud solutions across all lifecycle stages. Your collaborative approach will involve partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that align with business requirements and defined outcomes. Your primary focus will be on leading the delivery of cloud solutions, driving automation, and ensuring secure operations. Additionally, you will facilitate the transition of business solution support to the operations team, contributing to the organization's digital transformation.

Responsibilities

• Innovative Solution Delivery: Collaborate with business teams, cloud solution implementation teams, and operations teams to creatively identify, evaluate, implement, and improve technologies and processes. Utilize Lean and Agile principles to arrive at innovative, cost-effective solutions.
• Strategic Leadership: Lead the development of innovative strategies that creatively leverage resources to anticipate and solve problems, resulting in business-centric and resource-efficient solutions.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure the delivery of secure cloud solutions by utilizing various tools and methodologies for security incident detection, vulnerability identification, and non-conformance detection. Collaborate with business and cross-functional teams to resolve security issues.
• Change Management and Risk Mitigation: Coordinate and communicate all Change Management, Risk Management, and Disaster Recovery Planning activities during the solution delivery phase.
• Vendor Management: Initiate and coordinate outsourced supplier efforts and estimate efforts required for solution delivery, ensuring effective vendor partnerships.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor technological advancements, staying updated with industry knowledge and trends, and utilize this knowledge to continuously improve solutions, aligning them with industry and company standards and emerging business requirements.
• Usability and Performance: Analyze systems and conduct usability testing to ensure optimal performance, reliability, scalability, and security compliance.
• Integration Expertise: Evaluate the impact of changes or additions between systems, applications, and services within the environment, ensuring seamless integration.
• Customer Support: Assist customers in planning and executing cloud-based deployments, providing guidance, technical expertise, and support during the implementation process.
• Leadership and Mentoring: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members within the domain, fostering professional growth and development.

Technologies / Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
• 10+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and/or maintaining IT infrastructures.
• 5+ years in a customer-facing role.
• 3+ years of experience in cloud implementation.
• Strong technical foundation: Proficiency in cloud, connectivity, infrastructure services, and data center operations.
• Knowledge of current business functions: An understanding of how technology aligns with and supports business objectives.
• ITIL framework proficiency: Familiarity with ITIL framework and release management.
• Experience working in a multi-vendor scenario: Experience collaborating in multi-vendor environments and managing vendor relationships.
• Essential Certifications: Commercial Cloud (e.g., AWS/Azure), ITIL.
• Understand key cross-functional concepts impacting the organization, business priorities, and organizational dynamics.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective communication with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong customer focus, ability to evaluate decisions from the customer's perspective, build strong customer relationships, and partner with customers to shape their future initiatives.
