As Gold Partner of Microsoft in Azure Data Analytics and Azure Data Platform and strategic partner of Cloudera this Department provides E2E solutions for our customers including consulting services, solution design, implementation, support and maintenance.

The client / the project

We are looking for You as Data Consultant / Data Solution Expert if you would like to work remotely or from a Budapest XI. office on data solutions designed, specified, implemented and maintained by Big Data Department of United Consult.

Responsibilities

  • understanding, creating and review (small to large scale) data architectures
  • designing and specifying E2E data solutions: including data ingestion, data replication solutions, batch and real time data flows, ETL/ELT processes, database structures, data models, data lakes, data warehouses and data marts on-prem, hybrid or in the cloud
  • being trusted consultant of our customers in terms of data architectures, data lifecycles and data strategy related questions
  • supporting sales activities from tech point of view, proof of concept
  • following trends and technology innovations

Technologies / Skills

  • a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data solutions
  • hands-on programming experience (Python/R/Java or Scala)
  • SQL knowledge
  • good problem solving skills
  • good work attitude
  • enthusiasm to work with people
  • good communications skills in Hungarian and in English
  • willing to learn
  • Nice to have:
  • experience in software architectures
  • experience in cloud solutions
  • experience in Hadoop, Big Data solutions
  • experience in data warehousing and ETL processes
  • experience in self-service BI solutions (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Microstrategy etc.
  • working on data architectures and you have problem solving attitude
  • building from scratch motivates you, but you can easily understand and adopt to others’ thoughts
  • working in different projects with different people on complex solutions
  • learn quickly and think that knowledge sharing is important to be successful
  • finding the right tool for a problem is more important than becoming an expert of one of that
  • like supporting and guiding colleagues (or our customers colleagues) to reach their goals
