The client / the project

The Salesforce Consultant will conduct business process analysis in an effort to align information technology solutions with business initiatives. Will be responsible for requirements definition, solution design and implementation phases for projects, enhancements and sustaining support initiatives. This role is responsible for identifying and involving key stakeholders, examining business processes through interview, guiding evaluation of process improvements, defining and documenting business requirements. Will prepare functional and system specifications and work on complex projects independently and lead the effort of a team by collaborating with the Development team and Sales Support Engineer to develop a solution design that meets & exceeds client requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Build trusted client relationships through proactive account management and effective project delivery
  • Establish knowledge of client business challenges and priorities to translate into opportunities
  • Maintain regular client communication and satisfaction, ensuring opportunities and challenges are addressed in a timely manner
  • Convert client’s business needs into detailed business requirements documents, use cases, systems interaction diagrams, reports and dashboards
  • Contribute to project discoveries, kickoff, prepare proposals and statements of work following company standards
  • Help to establish critical path, milestones, delivery dates, and review client deliverables to ensure they meet client acceptance criteria
  • Provide leadership throughout the lifecycle of a project, guiding the understanding the project team has through design and development to ensure project requirements are met
  • Help establish project test strategy, methodologies, test plans as well as assist with test execution
  • Lead, mentor and teach consultants best practices for implementing Salesforce
  • Create business requirements documentation with process flow diagrams and use case studies
  • Execute solution design activities such as data mapping, object modeling, page layout design and rule logic definitions
  • Execute testing and validation to ensure that the Salesforce configuration meets the business needs and solution design

Technologies / Skills

  • 4+ years professional services or technical consulting experience
  • 2+ years CRM configuration and consulting experience, preferably Salesforce
  • Client facing and project management experience
  • Being able to work on complex projects involving many teams
  • Outstanding writing, presentation, communication and organization skills
  • Attention to details and accurate in execution
  • BSc/MSc Degree in IT preferred
  • Experience with both agile and waterfall implementation methodologies
  • Understanding relational databases (SQL) and XML, cloud-applications
  • Understanding development lifecycle (from Requirement Definition to Maintenance)
  • Excellent English language skills
  • Good to have skill: One or more salesforce.com certifications (Sales Cloud Certification, Service Cloud Certification, Community Cloud Certifications, DEV-401, ADM-201, ADM 211)
  • Good to have skill: Specific industry expertise very welcome
