The client / the project

This role leads the design and implementation of automated tests including risk coverage optimization, defining the right test automation design to deliver sustainable automation solutions according to best practices. This role has focus on the E2E testing involving multiple Process and system areas.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert on software testing and automation.
• Proactively seek out ways to avoid common software-testing problems such as test case duplication, flaky tests, scalability, and maintainability
• Examine end-to-end processes in addition to backend testing, ensuring quality is embedded throughout.
• Pair with test automation developers to read and assess code and provide feedback about tests
• Provide input for improving testability frameworks, and tools.
• Drive the creation of a reliable automated testing suite with strong reporting capabilities that ensures simple, effective analysis of failures for your team to use
• Contribute to test automation strategy and test plans.
• Build out and active sharing of Automation Best Practices and tool knowledge.
• Provide status reporting to project leadership and client leadership.

Technologies / Skills

• Experience working as a Quality Analyst as part of a development team, pairing with developers and ideally Business Analysts and Infrastructure Engineers.
• Experience in using Test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Tosca, UiPath, SoapUI, Postman, Selenium, Junit, etc.)
• Experience with API automation, different types and techniques in functional testing and nonfunctional testing including performance testing.
• Experience with Agile, code management and deployment strategies.
• Solid understanding of best practices such as TDD, BDD, CI/CD and the Practical Test Pyramid.
• Strong analytical problem solving and ability to explain complex technical issues
