The client / the project

The Data Analyst is involved in Business Intelligence projects and services. The new colleague will focus on collecting and analysing data and business requirements, providing Business Intelligence Reporting and Dashboarding solutions as well as advanced analyses to business/technology needs. The Data Analyst is exposed to all project activities and assist other team members in supporting BI project needs as well as BI practice needs.

Responsibilities

• Identifies analytical needs of each department through one-to-one communications of key employees; duties specific to this function may include the assessment of the following: what decisions need to be made, why decisions need to be made, when decisions need to be made, and who will use the data and insights to make the decisions.
• Create reports to support day-to-day business.
• Analyse data, deliver insights and present them to requestors.
• Is responsible for companywide trainings about the BI area.
• Works closely together with IT to develop and maintain DWH and related systems.
• Coordinates resolution of operational issues between the assigned applications and system support personnel.
• Assists users with the use of the tools owned by the BI team. Communicates appropriately with users to understand their needs. Proceeds with appropriate actions that include requirements documentation, design and use.
• Ensures that information is available as needed in a timely fashion and is accurate, valid and reliable.
• Creation and maintenance of appropriate documentation to support the delivery of the service or project.

Technologies / Skills

• 5+ years of data and analyses experience at a multi-national company.
• Bachelor or higher degree from a university in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, Management or Economics.
• Proficiency in English.
• Good command of Hungarian is required.
• Strong statistics and analytical skills with demonstrated proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools.
• Experience in a business analytics/intelligence utilizing enterprise databases with large-scale, complex data sets performing data mining and deep dive analysis.
• Knowledge and experience in the field of corporate finance, controlling and/or sales of software solutions.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent client facing skills
