The project

This project strives to improve the workplace experience by integrating cutting-edge features and functionalities into meeting rooms. To achieve real-time bi-directional communication between physical room equipment and their digital IoT device pairs in Azure, a native cloud digital twin solution was implemented. This enables the capturing and transmission of real-time events, such as lighting adjustments, to the Building Management System.

Challenges

Advanced Meeting Room Functionality: The project aimed to develop technologies and systems that seamlessly integrate with existing infrastructure, enabling real-time communication for 180 meeting rooms and thousands of IoT devices. This not only empowers users with advanced meeting room functionalities but also provides instant control over various facilities, significantly enhancing the overall experience.

Optimising audiovisual equipment: The real challenge lies in streamlining audiovisual equipment across meeting rooms. Ensuring compatibility and optimizing efficiency within such a diverse and extensive system demands innovative and custom solutions.

Creating an agile environment: While our scrum team was ready to kick off, the customer needed additional time to establish the agile environment and to make architectural decisions. This required the team to adapt their approach.
