Technical Project Manager - 5243

We’re looking for a Technical Project Manager who can take full ownership of a large‑scale Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) implementation for a major enterprise client. This is a high‑impact role at the intersection of big data engineering, enterprise architecture, and disciplined project governance. You’ll drive the delivery of a modern data lakehouse, ensure robust security and governance, and orchestrate complex integrations that unlock real business value from data.

The position requires a 12‑month onsite engagement in Qatar.

• Lead the full end‑to‑end delivery of a large‑scale Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) implementation.
• Build and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Drive risk, issue, and change management with a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset.
• Oversee CDP environment setup, data ingestion, data processing, and governance components (Ranger, Atlas).
• Validate architecture, capacity, performance, scalability, and security requirements with Cloudera architects and engineering teams.
• Ensure seamless integration with enterprise systems (RDBMS, APIs, upstream/downstream platforms).
• Act as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, technical teams, and executive sponsors.
• Lead steering committees, technical reviews, and structured status reporting.
• Manage third‑party vendors, system integrators, and OEM partners.
• Enforce project governance frameworks (Agile, Hybrid, Waterfall) and ensure compliance with enterprise security and regulatory standards.
• Oversee documentation, knowledge transfer, and operational readiness.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost controls, and validate timesheets and invoices.

• 8–12+ years of experience in IT project management.
• 3–5 years leading big data or analytics platform implementations.
• Proven delivery experience with Cloudera (CDH/CDP) or similar Hadoop‑based ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of data lake architectures, batch and streaming pipelines.
• Hands‑on familiarity with Cloudera CDP, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka, NiFi.
• Experience working in on‑prem, cloud, or hybrid environments.
• Solid understanding of Linux‑based platforms and enterprise integration patterns.
• Strong command of project management methodologies (PMP/PRINCE2/Agile).
• Proficiency with project and collaboration tools (MS Project, Jira, Confluence).
• Excellent communication skills across senior stakeholders, architects, engineers, and vendors.
• Strong documentation, reporting, and presentation capabilities.

• PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification.
• Cloudera certifications (CCA, CCP).
• Experience working in Middle Eastern enterprise or government environments.
• Background in data governance, compliance, or regulated industries.
• Familiarity with large‑scale transformation programs or multi‑vendor delivery models.
