Senior Data Business Analyst - 5291

We are looking for a Senior Data Business Analyst who will beresponsible for defining, documenting, and validating business data transformations across a complex data landscape. Translating business processes into precise, implementable specifications for data engineering teams.

This position operates in a heterogeneous ERP environment (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, local ERPs, and other source systems), where data sources,  data quality, and maturity can be on a different maturity level. Operating companies are located across Europe, requiring strong cross‑regional collaboration. English is the official communication and documentation language.

• Lead detailed requirement workshops with business stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Procurement, Inventory)
• Translate business processes into explicit transformation rules and calculation logic
• Define canonical definitions for metrics such as Sales, Cost, Stock, Purchase, and Debtors
• Resolve semantic differences across source systems and standardize logic
• Analyze source system data structures (ERP and non‑ERP)
• Assess data quality issues and document assumptions, limitations, and remediation rules
• Define source‑to‑target mappings and transformation steps
• Create SQL scripts (or pseudo‑SQL) to:
  
  • Validate business logic
  • Illustrate transformations
  • Support engineering implementation
• Produce clear, engineering‑ready documentation, including:
  • Transformation specifications
  • Calculation rules
  • Data quality rules and reconciliation logic
• Act as the single point of truth for business logic during development
• Support data engineers during implementation and testing
• Validate outputs and support business sign‑off

• 5+ years in Senior Data Business Analyst / Analytics / Data Domain role
• Proven experience in ERP implementation or integration projects
• Hands‑on exposure to multiple ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, local/custom ERPs)
• Experience working with many heterogeneous data sources and inconsistent data quality
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis and transformation specification
• Strong, practical understanding of:
  • Sales (orders, delivery, invoicing, revenue, discounts, returns)
  • Cost (COGS, margin)
  • Stock / Inventory (on‑hand, valuation, movements)
  • Purchase (POs, receipts)
  • Accounts Receivable (aging, outstanding balances)
• Ability to link: Business process → transactional data → transformation logic → analytical model

• Comfortable working closely with data engineers, architects, and BI teams
• Able to express business rules in technical, unambiguous terms
• Structured, detail‑oriented, documentation‑driven
• Strong stakeholder management across business and IT
• Fluency in English
