The client/project

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Warehouse Developer to join a large-scale enterprise data team within the financial sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, optimization, and maintenance of enterprise data warehouse solutions, with a strong focus on Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), data modeling, API integrations, and reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse solutions using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)

Create and manage mappings, packages, load plans, and scenarios

Implement and optimize complex data transformation processes

Design and maintain relational and dimensional data models

Perform database performance tuning and optimization activities

Design and implement execution, monitoring, logging, and error-handling frameworks

Develop and maintain data structures supporting web services and business applications

Integrate external systems through SOAP and REST APIs

Extract, process, and load data from XML and JSON sources into the data warehouse

Develop reports and analytical solutions using Oracle Analytics Server (OAS)

Participate in code versioning and deployment processes using Git

Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, analysts, and development teams

Required skills/technologies used

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise data warehouse development and data modeling

Minimum 5 years of experience working within the financial services industry

Strong development experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)

Solid knowledge of ODI topology management

Experience with ODI Knowledge Modules, including customization and optimization

Proven track record in implementing complex data transformation processes

At least 5 years of experience designing and managing mappings, packages, load plans, and scenarios

Strong understanding of relational and dimensional data warehouse methodologies

Senior-level experience in data modeling and presentation layer design

Minimum 5 years of advanced SQL and PL/SQL development experience

Strong knowledge of complex SQL queries, analytical functions, and performance optimization techniques

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Git version control

Minimum 2 years of experience integrating external systems through APIs

Practical experience working with SOAP and REST web services

Strong understanding of XML and JSON data structures

Experience extracting, transforming, and loading data from external source systems into enterprise data warehouses

Experience with Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) and report development

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently in a structured and detail-oriented manner

Excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams
