The client/project

We are looking for a Senior DWH System Analyst to join our team and work on-site with one of our clients in the financial sector. As part of a Data Warehouse team, you will contribute to the enhancement and modernization of the existing enterprise data warehouse environment.

In this role, you will primarily focus on ODI-based ETL/ELT solution design, data modeling, reporting, and system integration within a large-scale financial enterprise. Your work will play a key role in further developing the existing data platform and ensuring it continues to meet the organization's growing business and reporting needs.

Responsibilities

Apply Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) development methodologies and best practices.

Design and document ODI mappings, packages, load plans, and scenarios.

Define execution, monitoring, logging, and error-handling frameworks for DWH processes.

Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.

Prepare functional and technical specifications based on business needs.

Collaborate with source system owners and business teams to clarify requirements and data structures.

Design and support enterprise data warehouse solutions and data integration processes.

Participate in data warehouse testing activities, including test case definition and execution.

Validate data consistency, reconciliation results, and end-to-end data quality.

Support development teams during implementation and testing phases.

Analyze and troubleshoot issues across ETL/ELT processes and data warehouse environments.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of DWH and BI processes and methodologies.

Required skills/technologies used

Minimum 5 years of relevant Data Warehouse (DWH) design, modeling, and implementation experience in a large enterprise environment.

Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a DWH/BI Systems Analyst or Business Analyst.

Minimum 5 years of professional experience within the financial services sector.

Strong hands-on experience with relational and dimensional data warehouse modeling methodologies.

Advanced knowledge of enterprise data models, data marts, and presentation-layer design.

Minimum 5 years of experience designing ODI mappings, packages, load plans, and scenarios.

Deep understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration architectures.

Minimum 5 years of advanced SQL and PL/SQL experience.

Strong expertise in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.

Practical experience with analytical functions and performance-oriented database development.

Solid understanding of Oracle database environments.

Minimum 3 years of experience in business requirements gathering and analysis.

Proven ability to create high-quality functional and technical specifications.

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and BI tools.

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

Experience working directly with business stakeholders and source system teams.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Detail-oriented approach with a strong focus on data quality and accuracy.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
