Children's day visualization: why don't Hungarian and Austrian children celebrate together?

Hungarian girls and boys are already looking forward to the weekend, as it is Children's Day. The Austrian or even Thai lurkos are not so enthusiastic, which is no wonder, because they still have to wait many months for this momentous occasion.

Hungarian girls and boys are already looking forward to the weekend, as it is Children's Day. The Austrian or even Thai lurkos are not so enthusiastic, which is no wonder, because they still have to wait many months for this momentous occasion. We researched and depicted in spectacular interactive graphics how children's day is celebrated in different parts of the world.

The tradition of International Children's Day originates in Turkey, where this holiday was first celebrated in 1920, and then in 1925, on April 23. The United Nations proclaimed Universal Children's Day in 1954, the purpose of which was for all countries to commemorate tolerance and empathy through the brotherhood of our children. The holiday is also a good time to focus on child welfare efforts.

Children's Day was organized in Hungary in the first decade of the 20th century, but it became regular only in the 1920s. From 1931 to 1947, when the war allowed, children's week was held in May or June. From 1948 this event also came under the influence of the Communist Party. Until 1953, it was celebrated on the first Sunday of June, and from '54 We celebrate the International Children's Day in our country on the last Sunday of May. Children's Day is celebrated on very different days of the year around the world, but in many places the date of International Children's Day has been conventionally changed to June 1.

The most common is the summer celebration — which is therefore due to the International Day of June 1 — but there are also spring and autumn dates galore. Winter dates are best found in countries with hot climates.
