About the client/project
We are looking for a mid-level Data Engineer to join our Pricing team and help build SQL-based data solutions that will replace one of our core business products. In this role, you will primarily work with SQL Server technologies, focusing on robust data modeling, data integration, maintainability, and custom monitoring and logging solutions. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to future migration initiatives involving modern data engineering tools.
Tasks
- Design and develop SQL-based data solutions supporting pricing-related business processes
- Build and maintain data pipelines and integrations using SQL Server technologies
- Work with Master Data Services (MDS) and SSIS packages to support data management and integration
- Design robust data models ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability
- Implement custom monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system stability
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Support potential future migration initiatives toward modern data engineering platforms
Necessary knowledge/technologies used
- Solid experience with SQL and SQL Server technologies
- Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to design maintainable and scalable data solutions
- Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Professional working proficiency in English
It gives you an advantage
- Experience with Azure data services
- Experience with Spark or distributed data processing frameworks
- Python programming experience
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD workflows
- Experience with modern data engineering architectures or migration projects
