Business Analyst - Cloud Data Warehouse Migration

We are looking for a Business Analyst for our telecommunications data warehouse modernization project—someone who can effectively uncover, structure, and translate both business and IT requirements into development‑ready specifications, while also supporting business validation and solution rollout.

About the client/project

The project aims to migrate an existing on‑premise data warehouse and related reporting solutions into a cloud‑based environment, establishing a modern data platform and a scalable reporting architecture.

In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, the Product Owner, IT teams, data architects, BI/DWH developers, data engineers, testers, project managers, and external vendors. A key focus of the position is requirements management, understanding data and reporting logic, conducting gap and impact analysis, migration validation, UAT support, stakeholder management, and preparing business decisions.

A core expectation is the conscious use of modern AI tools. The Business Analyst should be able to leverage AI for requirements analysis, documentation, testing, information processing, and decision support. For AI‑focused use cases, the BA will also contribute to designing prompts and business‑appropriate AI interactions.

Tasks

Gather business and IT requirements across telecom data, DWH, and reporting domains.

Create and refine requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications; support prioritization.

Analyze existing DWH, BI, and reporting processes.

Support cloud data warehouse migration from a business and functional perspective.

Align source‑to‑target mappings, KPI definitions, business rules, and transformation logic.

Conduct gap analysis and impact analysis.

Organize and facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions.

Ensure clear information flow and shared understanding between business and technical teams.

Support UAT, business validation, migration checks, and report verification.

Perform business‑focused testing of delivered solutions and communicate results.

Independently coordinate assigned project workstreams.

Prepare solution alternatives and decision options for complex issues.

Provide professional guidance to junior colleagues.

Use modern AI tools for documentation, analysis, testing, information processing, and decision support.

Necessary knowledge/technologies used

4–6 years of Business Analyst experience.

Experience in telecommunications business or IT environments.

Hands‑on experience in BI, data warehouse, reporting, or data platform projects.

Ability to structure and document business requirements.

Understanding of data models, KPIs, and business definitions.

Strong communication skills across business and technical stakeholders.

Structured problem‑solving and analytical mindset.

Ability to work independently with strong ownership.

Confident English skills.

Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.

Structured, proactive, solution‑oriented working style.

Confident, professional use of modern AI tools.

Knowledge of cloud data platforms: GCP, AWS, Azure, Snowflake.

Experience in cloud data warehouse migration.

Experience in CRM, billing, order management, campaign management, or customer management domains.

Experience in migration, data governance, or reporting consolidation projects.

Experience in data quality, data validation, or reconciliation tasks.

Professional AI tool usage in business analysis.

Experience in multinational or vendor‑driven project environments.

Experience facilitating workshops and complex stakeholder forums.
