The client/project

We are looking for an experienced Performance Test Manager to join our team and work on a long-term assignment with one of our leading banking clients.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing performance testing activities for business-critical enterprise applications, ensuring that complex systems remain stable, scalable, and performant under high workloads. You will work closely with architects, test managers, automation engineers, and cross-functional IT teams to drive high-quality performance testing across multiple projects and release cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional oversight and support for performance testing activities across multiple IT projects.
  • Review the scope and resource requirements of planned performance tests during the project preparation phase.
  • Monitor and support performance test planning, preparation, execution, and quality assurance throughout project delivery.
  • Coordinate performance testing activities across multiple projects within release cycles.
  • Plan and coordinate resources required for standard performance testing activities.
  • Lead the definition, maintenance, and continuous improvement of standard performance test suites, including defect management and maintenance processes.
  • Track performance testing progress and prepare transparent, consolidated reports for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with Performance Test Analysts, Test Automation Engineers, Test Managers, Quality Managers, Solution Architects, and Enterprise Architects.
  • Work together with cross-functional teams including Test Environment Management, Release Management, Project Management, Scrum Masters, and business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and best practices.

Required skills/technologies used

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing within a large enterprise environment.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Test Manager, Test Coordinator, or Test Automation Engineer.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in performance testing or performance test management.
  • Solid understanding of performance testing methodologies, processes, and tools.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Knowledge of software development and IT methodologies such as ISTQB, Agile, and ITIL.
  • Experience with Jira, Zephyr Scale, and Confluence.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus, or Elastic APM.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Team-player attitude.
