About the client/project

Tasks

- Serve as the QA leader within the team, providing guidance on quality strategy, best practices, methodologies, and technology choices.

- Mentor team members on quality processes, automation practices, and test design.

- Design, implement, and maintain robust automated tests for acceptance, functional, and regression testing.

- Create, execute, and document manual test cases when required.o Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration (CI) pipeline.

- Contribute to Front-End product development tasks when not engaged in QA activities.

- Analyze technical designs and user flows to ensure testability and high-quality implementation.

- Apply software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles and methodologies such as Lean, Agile, XP, CI, product security, scalability, and refactoring.

- Diagnose defects collaboratively with developers and propose effective solutions.

- Make informed technology decisions at the individual contributor level with clear understanding of their impact.

- Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Technical Leaders, Architects, and Product Owners to ensure high-quality feature design and implementation.

- Engage with other QA engineers and the project Verification & Validation (V&V) Leader to define test strategies and ensure alignment across teams.

Necessary knowledge/technologies used

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).

- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development and/or automated testing.

- Proven hands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Playwright.

- Practical experience in testing and developing Front-End applications.

- Experience working with distributed systems and containerized applications using Docker and K8S.

- Ability to translate product requirements into clear and structured feature files.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to critically evaluate feature behavior and design effective test strategies.

- Ability to work independently, proactively identifying solutions when challenges arise.

- Detail-oriented, maintaining high-quality documentation suitable for audits and compliance reviews.

It gives you an advantage

- Experience with Linux-based operating systems.

- Exposure to testing for security standards and compliance requirements.

- Experience with CI tools, particularly GitLab CI.

- Familiarity with BDD/TDD design approaches.

- Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools.

- Practical knowledge of any of the following tools: Jasmine, Karma, Cucumber, Serenity, JBehave, SonarQube.

- Experience working with medical imaging technologies.

- Knowledge in Java.

- Knowledge in Scripting languages used in debugging, preferably Bash/Shell.
