The client/project
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate enterprise data platforms across on-premise, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments
- Support and troubleshoot Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) environments, including upgrades and migrations
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues between Spark and Hive, particularly in secured (Kerberos-enabled) environments
- Configure and maintain authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., Kerberos, LDAP, Active Directory, SAML)
- Manage and troubleshoot Key Management Server (KMS), Ranger, and related security components
- Ensure proper configuration and operation of Hadoop ecosystem components (HDFS, Hive, Impala, HBase, NiFi)
- Implement and maintain data processing and transformation pipelines
- Apply DevOps practices, including automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code
- Perform log analysis and root cause investigation for platform incidents
- Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams
- The candidate is required to have fluent Polish language skills and at least a B2 level of English proficiency.
Required skills/technologies used
- Minimum 10 years of experience delivering data-related projects
- Proven experience with Enterprise Data Cloud environments, especially Cloudera Data Platform
- Strong expertise in Apache Spark and Apache Hive
- Hands-on experience with Hadoop ecosystem technologies (HDFS, Hive, Impala, HBase, NiFi)
- Solid understanding of data management concepts (data warehousing, ETL, data integration)
- Experience with DevOps methodologies and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- Knowledge of distributed system security, including Kerberos-based authentication and authorization
- Experience with tools such as Zookeeper and Key Management systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex enterprise environments
