The client/project
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and financial reporting requirements
- Translate business needs into clear development specifications for data engineers
- Coordinate end-to-end reporting projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business expectations
- Act as a bridge between stakeholders and technical teams, managing priorities and expectations
- Query and analyze relational data models for reporting and analytical purposes
- Collaborate closely with data engineers to support the development of data pipelines
- Support multiple business domains, primarily Finance, with exposure to Sales, Marketing, Customer Management, and Product
Required skills/technologies used
- Strong experience with relational databases and working with data models
- Solid SQL skills for reporting and analytical use cases
- Proven experience in financial reporting (highly preferred)
- Hands-on experience in requirement gathering and documentation (including development specifications)
- Strong project coordination skills (formal project management role not required)
- Ability to guide technical teams based on business reporting needs
- Experience with reporting/BI tools such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or alternatives like Tableau or Qlik
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- German: C1 level (both written and spoken)
