Friendships, a cheerful atmosphere, an inspiring environment — what does a good job mean in 2024?

“After a burnout at work, you can really heal here” — maybe a Hungarian company can't get more praise in 2024, right? After several successful applications, we will compete again this year for the “Lovable Jobs” competition, and as a result, we asked our colleagues about what United Consult (UC) means to them.

ALovable JobsThe project is a truly special competition, the aim of which is to present the most attractive jobs in Hungary, where employees not only receive financial recognition from the management that guarantees financial stability, but can also work in a humanly and professionally valuable, comfortable and inspiring environment. Small and medium-sized enterprises as well as large companies can enter the competition - it is not the size of the company or its existential situation that matters, but how lovable and supportive the work environment is for the workers.

Our company, United Consult, which now employs more than three hundred professionals, has been competing for the title of Lovable Workplace for a long time — after so many successful applications. In this regard, we asked our employees to share why they love working with us and why they are proud to be part of the UC community.

Work so that you feel good in your skin!

Anita has been a member of the marketing team since last year, saying about her experience: “Over the course of a year, I've gone through an amazing amount of professional development that I've only been able to achieve in a much longer period of time.”As he said, he likes to work at UC because it is a strong motivation for him to constantly learn and acquire new skills, and of course it matters a lot to be a member of one of the best-known, best-known professional communities in the Hungarian IT sector.

For Attila, work-life balance is a top priority, and he found that at UC. “You can work anywhere, but having a good time at work is priceless. I find that the greatest value.”Our colleague shared his feelings.

Samantha emphasized the power of community and togetherness. He said: “Great professionals and good colleagues can be in many places. What sets UC apart from other places of work is that you not only meet one of these colleagues, but you also have mass meetings or lunches with them.” Speaking about the wellness opportunities available at UC — such as a free psychologist, coach, sports grants and countless joint programs — Samanta added that these are the things that make a workplace truly lovable.

Weekdays are never boring

Lili mentioned the exciting professional projects and inspiring work environment that guarantee that everyday life at UC is never boring. He put it this way: “Whether it's challenging tasks, supportive colleagues or the environment, there's always something new and exciting happening. These experiences often push me out of my comfort zone and give me the opportunity to grow and learn new skills. Every day I am enriched with new experiences, that's what really motivates me!”

Noémi also spoke about the exciting, hectic weekdays to our question.“The atmosphere is good, the team is great, and in everyday life you can feel how cohesive the community is. Team builders are always filling up, and everyday life is hectic. In addition, I can constantly improve, there is always something new that makes it exciting to work every day”He revealed his personal experience.

Second home

Dalma values the family friendly attitude and supportive environment most of all in our company:“This is not just a workplace, but a second home; I am happy to cross the threshold of the office every time. I know that you are treated here not only as a worker, but as a worker for whom work-life balance is important.”He also stressed that the cohesion of their team is exemplary, and “The support and cooperation we experience on a daily basis is one of our greatest resources.”

According to Dalma, colleagues at UC are not only colleagues, but also friends who, by helping each other, strive to achieve common goals.“I feel that everyone here has the success of the other at heart, and this is the environment where the power of community really moves forward”— he said.

Nikol worked for another domestic company for a long time and saw from the outside what great things were happening at United Consult and how freely, cheerfully and creatively the UC community does its professional work. He knew then that one day he would like to join us, and life brought him to the point that he finally succeeded. He switched and found with us what he had been looking for in the world of work for a long time.

“After a burnout at work, you can really heal here — and I'm not just saying that, but my mental health self at work is seriously saying that to me, because I've really been through it.” Nikol told me.
